The New 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser
The most capable and fuel-efficient Land Cruiser ever sold in the United States.
The Toyota Land Cruiser is one of the most storied nameplates in automotive history, and the 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser continues that legacy with a bold modern redesign built to take on any terrain. Powered exclusively by the advanced i-FORCE MAX turbocharged hybrid powertrain, the 2026 Land Cruiser delivers an electrifying 326 net combined horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque across both available trim levels—making it the most capable and fuel-efficient Land Cruiser ever sold in the United States. Whether you’re navigating rocky trails, city streets, or open highways, the 2026 Land Cruiser pairs legendary off-road hardware with modern technology and genuine comfort. With heritage-inspired styling, a full-time four-wheel-drive system, and Toyota Safety Sense™ 3.0 standard across the lineup, this iconic SUV is engineered to go farther, last longer, and deliver confidence wherever the road—or trail—takes you.

i-FORCE MAX Hybrid Power
The 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser is the first Land Cruiser sold in North America to offer a hybrid powertrain as its sole engine option—and it’s a remarkable one. The i-FORCE MAX system combines a turbocharged 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine with a 48-horsepower electric motor integrated directly into the eight-speed automatic transmission. Together, the system generates 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque, delivering strong, low-end pull that’s ideal for climbing trails or effortlessly merging onto the highway.
Unlike traditional hybrid systems that prioritize fuel economy over performance, the i-FORCE MAX is engineered to enhance both. The electric motor delivers immediate torque off the line, while the turbocharged engine maintains strong output at higher speeds. The result is an SUV that tows up to 6,000 pounds, earns an EPA-estimated 23 MPG combined—the highest combined rating in Land Cruiser history—and still feels planted and composed on the trail.
Full-time four-wheel drive is standard on every 2026 Land Cruiser, featuring a two-speed electronically controlled transfer case and standard center and rear locking differentials. Three drive modes—Normal, Sport, and Eco—let drivers tailor throttle response and transmission behavior to match their route and driving style.
Off-Road Capability
The 2026 Land Cruiser is equipped with real off-road hardware, not just cosmetic styling cues. Standard off-road features include Crawl Control with Downhill Assist Control, a standard Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism on the Land Cruiser trim for improved suspension articulation, Multi-Terrain Select (standard on Land Cruiser trim), and heavy-duty underbody skid plates. An available Multi-Terrain Monitor uses front, rear, and side cameras to display a live view of the terrain around your tires directly on the touchscreen.
The Land Cruiser’s body-on-frame construction and double-wishbone front suspension give it the structural rigidity and wheel travel needed to tackle challenging terrain, while the hybrid powertrain’s smooth low-speed torque delivery makes technical crawling more controlled and predictable.

Heritage Design, Modern Cabin
The 2026 Land Cruiser’s exterior design draws directly from its heritage. Toyota’s CALTY Design Research studio crafted a bold, squared-off silhouette with repositioned A-pillars that improve forward visibility on the trail. Both trim levels feature all-LED exterior lighting, athletic fender flares, and the iconic heritage “TOYOTA” lettered grille. The Land Cruiser 1958 celebrates the original FJ25 with round LED headlights, while the Land Cruiser grade features slim rectangular LED headlights inspired by the classic FJ62. Available 20-inch wheels and a silhouette-shaped roof rack round out the adventure-ready exterior.
Inside, the cabin is designed for both comfort and practicality. The 1958 trim comes with an 8-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen, while the Land Cruiser grade upgrades to a 12.3-inch display paired with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility come standard across all trim levels.
Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility are standard on all models. Available Qi wireless charging keeps devices powered without a cable. The available JBL® Premium Audio System brings 14 speakers for a concert-quality listening experience on any terrain.
Additional available features on the Land Cruiser grade include heated and ventilated front seats with premium leather or SofTex® upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, a power liftgate, a center-console cooler, and an impressive 2,400-watt AC power inverter in the cargo area for running electronics on extended adventures. A Head-Up Display, Toyota Digital Key, and Wi-Fi hotspot are all available through the Premium Package.
